CDC Flu Guide and Flight 2010-11

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that efforts to reduce the spread of influenza virus on commercial aircraft focus on encouraging airline employees and passengers to:

  • Get vaccinated
  • Postpone  travel  when sick
  • Take everyday steps to protect themselves and others while traveling

This document contains information to help limit the spread of influenza virus during air travel and also provides guidance for the management of travelers with influenza-like illness (ILI) during a flight. It updates the 2009-10 influenza season guidance for commercial aircraft.

Here you can see  the moment when a stunt glider slammed into a runway in front of 15,000 horrified fans at an airshow at Pilot escapes glider crashWest Sussex .Amazingly pilot Mike Newman, 35, crawled out of the wreckage of the high performance Swift S-1 aircraft after the cockpit broke up on impact.The former racing driver suffered three broken vertebrae in the accident, but doctors expect him to make a full recovery.The photo series is perfect for viewing the entire sequence of the accident and its happy ending.
